Floods: Desjardins will be in the field long term to help victims

Thank you to members, clients and employees for your
generous support, raising over $220,000

Lévis, May 12, 2017 - Desjardins Group is making a long-term commitment to the communities affected by the floods. 

An expression of solidarity

"We can't remain indifferent to the struggles people are facing right now. We know there's a lot to do before the victims can get back to their everyday lives. So, in the spirit of solidarity, we've committed to supporting people and organizing several cleanup operations in the coming weeks with the help of volunteers in the areas where the Red Cross is deployed," said Guy Cormier, Desjardins Group Chair of the Board, President and CEO. 

"We'll also be freeing up employees full time to lend a hand to the Red Cross for a month and provide human resources expertise. I strongly encourage Desjardins's employees to be generous with their time and help those in need," he added.

Desjardins will continue offering solutions to help provide financial relief and support to personal and business members who have been affected by this difficult time (payment deferrals, emergency loans, personalized agreements, etc.). For more details, click here.

Generous support

Desjardins members, clients and employees have shown their generosity in helping flood victims. Thank you! As of today, over $220,000 has been raised through the Desjardins caisse network and AccèsD to continue supporting the efforts of the Canadian Red Cross. This is in addition to the $100,000 donated by Desjardins earlier this week.
