Annual conference on fintech and banking sector transformation announces its line-up
Lévis, May 8, 2019 - The second annual FinteQC conference, organized by the Université de Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) and the Desjardins Lab, will take place in Lévis on June 5 and 6. This unique annual event brings together university researchers, students, executives, practitioners, start-ups and experts to discuss fintech and change in the digital age on the UQAR campus in Lévis.
Building on the success of the first event, the organizers have developed an intensive 2-day program full of panels, workshops and guest speakers. It's an opportunity to expand your network within a rapidly growing community, present original research, and learn about recent studies and trends. Experts and university researchers from across Canada and around the world will have the opportunity to present and share their ideas in French and English.
- 5 guest speakers will share their thoughts on open banking, tokenization, innovation in the digital age, and so much more!
- One of the speakers is Nathalie Larue, Executive Vice-President, Strategy, Marketing and Personal Services at Desjardins Group, who will present her views on fintech's contribution to member and client experience development at Desjardins.
- There will also be a unique opportunity to participate in a wide-ranging discussion during the World Café about the impact of new technology on people.
"We are very proud that our first edition attracted more than 200 participants from many countries and universities. This tells us that FinteQC meets a real need in the industry and that dialogue is necessary and important both within the community and between fintech industry researchers and professionals," said Sandra Rousseau, Director, Innovation and Fintech Development, at Desjardins.
"This year, we want to assemble a diverse community to discuss the results of academic research, practices and policies surrounding digitization in finance, fintech and transformation in the banking sector. Our goal is to allow the scientific community to present and discuss cutting-edge academic research and allow entrepreneurs, managers, practitioners and experts to network and exchange ideas and practices," added Hamid Nach, from UQAR
