Montreal, March 1, 2021 - The Desjardins Foundation's commitment to supporting students continues through the annual Desjardins Scholarship program. These scholarships are open to students from all fields and levels of study. This financial boost is one way Desjardins is making a difference and supporting our youth and their education. Members of the Desjardins Credit Union in Quebec and Ontario are eligible to apply. This year, a new category has been added to support those looking to go back to school or change careers due to COVID-19. The application period is from March 1, 2021 - March 31, 2021.

"This last year has been extremely difficult for many people, especially students. It has never been more evident that we need to continue to show our support for students and assist them as they work towards achieving their goals. Supporting young people remains a top priority for us and we know that by providing students with these opportunities it will have a positive impact on their future success," Nancy Lee, Manager of the Desjardins Foundation.

Adam Lake - a master's student who received a scholarship from the 2020 program - shares:

"I feel amazing and thankful to receive the scholarship. This scholarship will be used towards my tuition for my program, as it is a professional program and extremely expensive. I hope to graduate from the program in April 2021, and work in government to ensure that diversity and inclusion issues are addressed...Thank you, Desjardins!"
